The Internet can be a wonderful resource for kids. They can use it to research school reports, communicate with teachers and other kids, and play interactive games. Kids who are old enough to punch in a few letters on the keyboard can literally access the world. I have reviewed the sites I have linked to this page for appropriate content, however, being safe on line is ultimately the responsibility of the child and parent. The Internet contains many sites dedicated to online safety. Many of these sites are aimed directly at kids, providing educational games and information about how to stay safe online. Others provide information for parents about how to keep their children safe, from how to monitor activity to what some of the terms mean. There are also sites that help, for example: http://www.staysafeonline.info/content/k-12-educators
